Dogs on Bikes
Bo'

Bo' from San Jose, California, USA

Bo' originally wrote to DogsOnBikes:
Hey there Houdini, my name is Bo'. Wanna be friends?
You look like you love to ride with you human buddy. I want to learn how
too. My buddy Rob is great for hiking and going to the beach but
sometimes he gets on his steelhorse and wants to go places. I always
want to keep up with him and do fun things, but I have never riden a big
thing like that before. But since I saw pictures of you having a great
time, I think I might try it too. I'm not afraid of the noise or being
up on the bike, but I am just a bit nervous about trying it because I
don't want to get my human buddy in trouble by doing something that
could get him a ticket.
Well I hope to meet you soon and keep on ridin',
Bo'

Well, as you can see, Bo' is now ridin'!

Bo's dad Robert writes:
Well this is his first real ride...we did do some riding around the neighborhood for a bit of practice and to perfect the harness system. I use a double redundancy attachment between us. For me I have two crossed nylon straps and for him I bought a deluxe padded seatbelt restraint. Worked great...he was comfy and I was too. He seemed to have fun once we got going, and of course he loved playing in the snow too. (Can you believe we rode up through the snow and went to Big Basin Redwoods State Park and then over to the beach and back up Alpine road near La Honda and then back down Skyline to Hwy 9 and home?) Total mileage: 136 miles of twisty, turning, icy roads...and more fun than a barrel
full of monkeys. :)
